If you are here, you probably wonder who runs this blog, hum? Well, I’m Steven Moix.
Work
I’m working as a Linux/Solaris Systems Engineer at Lotaris where I’m mostly in Cloud Computing. I also work as a Linux Systems Engineer at Axianet.ch, the company that I founded with a friend in 2003. My work there is mainly based on CentOS and Fedora Linux distributions. If you want to know more about my professional life, have a look at my LinkedIn profile…
Open Source
On the Open Source front, I’m a contributor to the Fedora project, packager for RPM Fusion and contributor to the Motion project.
I began my “Open Source life” by joining the Fedora Marketing group, then started to do some RPM packaging which lead me to a Bachelor’s degree in the Open Source field.
Now I’m more or less an Open Source evangelist, but I try not to force people to drink the coolade; sometimes it’s hard but I try to control myself.
Free time
During my free time I like to ride my motorbike. Since 1998 I had a scooter, then switched to a Honda XR 125 L and finally a Honda CBF 600 SA from 2010. It’s my passion.
I also like watches, without excess. They are beautiful and original objects and hey, I’m Swiss after all
