Swiss trains rule

Yesterday I was very happy when taking my train: the old second class wagons have all been upgraded with 230V power plugs. There is one for every 4 seats instead of one for the whole wagon. They don’t work right now, but it means that I will be able to use my laptop during my 3h weekly commute. Thanks CFF :)

Uh, I heard of the SBB (aka CFF) planning to install those plugs but I didn’t know they’re already upgrading them now. I hope the trains I frequently use get upgraded pretty soon too. :D

In the UK we surely must have the worst train services in western Europe. Nevertheless we still do have laptop sockets on most of the newer trains.

Many trains have free wifi too, which is also nice.

Yep, we have WiFi in some trains too, but only between the big cities :(
